Everything is Amazing :)
Though Naeem and I were definitely super super depressed because of the outcome of the game, things have been really really great this week.
1. I got to see SO MUCH BURNT ORANGE around Pasadena! It was AMAZING to see all the Texas fans and it made me feel like I was back home in Austin :)
2. Naeem and I got to see Alex, who was in town for the game! We had a really nice dinner at PF Chang’s yesterday and it was lovely catching up!!
3. Naeem and I have been following my NYE resolution to not eat out as much and cook more, and so far I think we’ve had waay more fun then we do when we keep going out to eat. Cooking with Naeem is soo fun (plus the food he makes is AWESOME) and I’m really glad I’m getting more chances to do it!
4. Having someone to come home to (even if its for a week) is absolutely lovely! Naeem being here has helped me get through all the shit with my parents and starting a new lab, and has just made life immensely easier and more fulfilling.
Today is Naeem’s last day for the trip. I’m a little sad, but I’m also super excited because its the only day I get completely off during his entire trip! I think we’ll be cooking some yellowfin tuna and risotto for lunch and I’m going to make a french chicken dish for dinner! I can’t wait!
