Yay for first successful meal made in California without using a prepackaged sauce!

I made a soup with Shrimp and Tofu (I used to hate tofu, what’s California done to me???)

Here’s the recipe:

I did make a bunch of modification though since I hate peas, and still do.

Basically I just fried some garlic and ginger paste, added the shrimp and tofu, fried them for a bit, took them out, fried carrots and broccoli in the leftover oil, added chicken stock made with bullion cubes, boiled the veggies until cooked, added shrimp and tofu and a little cornstarch and DONE! And it tasted great!! Yay for cooking without the help of Trader Joe’s sauces or the guidance of Naeem (the latter of which I don’t mind!)

Lab was a little crazy today.  Some fool autoclaved a bunch of people’s fly stocks, for which I feel to blame a little bit (fly stocks wouldn’t have been out in the first place if I hadn’t found ants in my flies). Other wise I just worked on some apps, got more frustrated with a good portion of the people in my class (I mean who the fuck sends on 29 reply all emails! Ugh not a good thing to wake up to), but tonight made up for it! Had a great convo with Naeem just now, and now to get some hw done (hopefully it won’t take too long, wooo short papers!)
